COMPANY STRENGTH GP Plastics is the industry leader;
supplying over 50% of all newspaper poly bags used in the United
States. As such, we have the buying power to negotiate the best
resin prices in our industry, for the benefit of our customers.
We have saved our customers hundreds of thousands of dollars by
being on top of the continually changing market and being flexible
enough to take advantage of it.
EXPERIENCED STAFF Our Regional Territory Managers
call directly on the individual newspapers and distributors across
the country, working to assess their individual requirements in
products and delivery; developing printed bag opportunities for
revenue generation for the newspaper, and monitoring our performance
record. Our team of inside Sales Administrators form close service
relationships with our customers, while our Sales and Marketing
Managers, as well as, our Quality Control, Production, and Shipping
Managers are available at any time to address new product development,
creative problem resolution, or brainstorming ways to enhance product
performance or meet special distribution needs.
PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE Our products are manufactured under
strict scrutiny. All bags are routinely tested for gauge consistency,
strength of bag (drop dart), immersion, and friction. We also offer
in-house testing of all products, regardless of the manufacturer.
In addition to our lab tests, we frequently conduct field tests
of product performance under actual use to give the customer a quantified
feel for the product's comparative performance.
DEDICATION At GP, we work diligently to engineer
- and re-engineer products with excellent performance in the field,
ease of use, and competitive pricing in these times of tight budgets
and escalating costs. We work hard to "right-size" the
product, allowing our customers to control unnecessary costs. Our
skill in multiple site delivery logistics, as well as our accuracy
in delivery, reduces handling costs and the micro-management of
bags for our customers. Understanding that large, multi-site companies
have challenges in controlling inventories and administering orders
and payables, GP has the experience and flexibility to provide cost
saving solutions around logistics and electronic technology. Not
least among our options, we are fully computerized, use bar code
scanning technology, and are set up to accept both EFT and procurement
card payments.
COMMUNICATION To enhance our customers' knowledge
of our manufacturing processes and quality controls - and our deeper
understanding of their requirements - we sponsor plant tours for
our customers. This provides a venue where our customers and our
Marketing and Production personnel can freely exchange ideas. Our
corporate philosophy is to provide the highest quality product and
